I have always loved putting pen (or pencil) to paper. I have kept a journal since I was 10 (that’s about 40 years now) and have been a planner geek for more than half my life!

Last year was my first year learning Torah. So far I love it and have never felt so at peace. Love paper planners better than trying to use my phone or other devices. Something about paper and physically writing…..

I’m “old school”. I’ve tried to go all digital with calendars and planners, but it’s just not the same. I prefer flipping pages and having it all laid out , easy to find, easy to see, easy to look back for reminders, etc.
using the “old school” style of planners so much easier to use as well. Journaling can also be such a stress-reliever and these are so beautiful!

I love to write our prayers in my journal when something is really weighing on me. I love looking back to see what the Lord has done. I also love to write all the funny things my children say and do and what they are interested in through the year on a calendar to help me remember . I look through the calendar on their birthday and write them a letter – it is a fun reminder of how much they have grown and changed through the year.

A computer screen does not give me the same tactile enjoyment of writing my ideas or list of things to do on an actual piece of paper.The process of writing calms my soul, helps clarify my thoughts, and slows the world for a moment…but it has to be real paper, real ink.

I have tried doing my planning digitally, and it really doesn’t work well for me. I’m over a certain age and find that a planner that shows me everything at once enables me to better plan out my day. I have been journaling on paper for years. I know that writing things out long-hand activates different parts of our brains, and it enables me to process my thoughts more effectively. I always have the best intentions of being organized and ready for a relaxing Shabbat and the other Feasts, but usually end up stressed out, exhausted, and disappointed in myself. As far as the magazine, I Loooove the photographs, the ideas for prep day and Shabbat. Recipes too! I have been using journals and planners since I was little. These are so gorgeous and would love to have all three to add to my collection. It would be a big blessing to use these every single day!

Lovely! I’m a journal kinda gal. I still use a paper calendar on the wall. In a world full of phones, tablets, & technology I HAVE to write it, see it/read it, & cross it off(that’s the best part) on paper.

I like to journal on paper as it gives me a chance to sit and relax every evening to write down my thoughts and read one I have already written. Planners help me to balance home and office life so I do not miss what I need to do.

What a lovely journal!! I love the set up and different designs.
I have Google Calendar, a Bible app, and a notes app on my cellphone. They have been very convenient, especially when on the go — it takes no extra physical space, and enables me to access info whenever I need it. But with these conveniences come a loss. For me, that is a loss of handwriting fluency and a lack of brainwork/memory, plus a loss of time (I went to do one thing, and got distracted by several other things…). I have also noticed my child demands more attention when I am on a digital device. Obviously technology has become a standard in this age, but I am trying to make better decisions regarding my use of it so that it remains a complimentary tool rather than a crutch for wasteful living. I already write the weekly menu on paper. Having my groceries list on paper gives my child a way to help me when shopping, by scratching of the items as we go. Having a physical planner enables me to write out details that are too big for the calendar app. I’m a work in progress. 🙂
