How to Tie and Make Tzit Tzit

Jan 18, 2022 | Tzit Tzit

Many of you have asked me how to tie and make Tzit Tzit. Well, I'm no expert, and I usually get mine from others. When I make them, they are very simple. I simply tie them like the friendship bracelets we used to make in the late eighties. LOL  So, I've searched youtube for some excellent videos about tzit making, and will post them below. Some are simple, some are more involved.

First, here's a video of me discussing these videos, then scroll down to see the instructional videos.

The actual instructions begin at 2:43

The instructions begin at 2:20.

The instructions begin at 3:05

These instructions start at 9:45.

The fringes do not have to be extravagant. A simple knot to make a loop of your threads – as long as it has a ribband of blue! I use linen yarn to make mine – “And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.” Revelation 19:8 KJV

I believe that the fringes should have an important status. Kept clean, tidy and made of things that are pleasing to the LORD. Purposely worn each moment of the day. “That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.” Numbers 15:40 KJV
